Multiple AEW Stars Pulled From Independent Show

Several AEW stars who were scheduled to perform at a New England independent show have been pulled from the event.

Some AEW talent regularly appear for independent promotions. Most famously Jon Moxley was GCW Champion while under contract to All Elite Wrestling while the likes of Ethan Page, Lee Moriarity, Sky Blue, Dante Martin, Lunchasaurus, Tay Melo and Orange Cassidy have all wrestled for different promotions. More recently Chris Jericho made a shock appearance at PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles.

Wheeler Yuta, Willow Nightingale, Tracy Williams, and Trish Adora were all slated to appear at Beyond Wrestling’s Perfection or Profanity. The event takes place on February 26th, which may be the reason why the wrestlers are no longer available to compete. The promotion took to social media to post about the changes to their show.

Wheeler YUTA, Willow Nightingale, Tracy Williams, and Trish Adora will no longer be appearing or competing at “Perfection Or Vanity” on Sunday, 2/26 at White Eagle in Worcester. Email beyondwrestling@gmail.com if you’d like a refund.

The cancellations give weight to a report from Fightful Select about supposed Ring of Honor tapings. The report states that the promotion is scheduled to begin recording content for the proposed weekly TV show on February 25th and 26th.

All four wrestlers removed from the indie show are set to be a big part of ROH. Yuta is currently the Pure Champion, while Williams is a former World Tag Team Champion and Adora and Nightengale have been used on both AEW programming and ROH pay-per-views.

AEW President Tony Khan Bought ROH In 2022

On the March 2, 2022, episode of AEW Dynamite, Khan announced that he had acquired the wrestling promotion from Sinclair Broadcast Group. Following the purchase, Khan promoted several pay-per-views and after Final Battle in December of last year, he told fans that Honor Club was returning.

The promotion was heavily featured across AEW television and saw Chris Jericho become the World Champion. During his reign, he did everything he could to discredit and dishonour the title. He fought and defeated several former Ring of Honor champions like Dalton Castle, Bandido and Bryan Danielson before losing it to current champion Claudio Castagnoli.
