More WWE Backstage Reactions To Tiffany Stratton And Charlotte Flair War Of Words, Segment Receives Heavy Criticism

Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton on WWE SmackDown

More backstage reactions have been provided regarding the Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton segment that went viral for the numerous personal jabs thrown by both women.

April 4th saw Flair and Stratton once again exchange words prior to their match at WrestleMania. The closing remarks from both were what garnered the most attention from fans as Stratton brought up Flair’s divorces and stormed out of the ring. In response, Flair claimed that Stratton’s partner Ludwig Kaiser had been in her DMs.

WWE edited the aforementioned lines out of the YouTube clip with numerous backstage reports indicating that both went off script. The latest follow-up on the infamous segment provides more information on what took place and the backstage reaction.

As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Women’s Champion and challenger have been at odds for weeks with their previous split-screen promo being one source of the issues:

“Flair and Stratton have had backstage issues for a few weeks. The feeling was in the dual camera segment a few weeks back, that Flair steamrolled her and made her look bad.”

In terms of backstage reaction, one source told Meltzer that Flair has been purposely trying to “rattle” Stratton in a sink or swim situation, but added that Flair has caused issues:

“Charlotte has been trying to rattle Tiffany. Standard stuff. Cena does it. Randy does it. Young talent coming up, you put a little heat on them as a test to get them to either sink or swim. Well, Charlotte has f***ed this whole program by not adjusting.”

Multiple sources also gave their views on Flair being shaken by the Chicago crowd:

“Last night (Friday) she got suck. That Chicago crowd ate her up because they can see she’s doing more than business, she’s trying to embarrass Tiffany.”

Another person said, “Once Charlotte let the fans get to her, that’s where it all fell apart. She gave up and said the line, `Tiffany, you can have the last word,’ because she was done with the fans at that point.”
