At least one more multi-man match is set to be added to the WWE WrestleMania card.
With the current direction of storylines leading up to the biggest show of the year, fans are preparing for a lot of multi-person and multi-team matches to be announced for the show.
Although CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins is the only official non-singles match at the time of writing, Rhea Ripley is expected to be added to the Women’s World Championship match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair along with a 4-way match for the Intercontinental Championship between Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and Penta.
While some fans have taken issue with the number of multi-person matches expected for the show, a new report has stated that one more multi-man match is expected with another being heavily rumoured.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Street Profits are set to defend their WWE Tag Team Championships in a multi-team match:
The expectation is a multi-team for the Smackdown tag titles with the Street Profits defending. Possible if not probable teams are Pretty Deadly, Los Garzas, Motor City Machine Guns and DIY. This has not been announced. It would not surprise me for this to be a ladder match, even though a ladder match has been announced for NXT Stand & Deliver.
Meltzer also adds that a 3-way for LA Knight’s United States Championship could also be added but the result of the upcoming Last Man Standing Match between Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman could change things:
Similarly the U.S. title looks like L.A. Knight vs. Jacob Fatu vs. Braun Strowman, but with so many three-ways, maybe the 4/4 last man standing match with Fatu vs. Strowman will determine the challenger. Fatu could win that, or Solo Sikoa could screw up and cost him an lead to Fatu vs. Sikoa. The latter is strongly being teased but it feels like it would be rushing the story to get it at Mania.
