We’ve met Ezekiel and Elias, but a scene on Monday Night Raw showed some new members of the family gathered together as their father spoke!
After years of walking with Elias, the WWE Universe was introduced to Ezekiel the night after WrestleMania 38, when he interrupted Kevin Owens’ promo on Raw. Since then, Owens has been on a quest to prove that the brothers are one in the same, even employing the use of a lie detector test (which Ezekiel passed) and attempting a DNA test (which got contaminated by barbecue sauce).
Owens was further incensed when The Drifter himself returned to Monday Night Raw and reunited with his brother in a backstage segment, claiming that the reunion was done with camera tricks and that the two men were indeed the same person. He was meant to take on a member of the family on June 27th (though it was unknown whether he’d be facing Elias, Ezekiel, or the yet-unseen brother Elrod), but he was mysteriously absent from the show, claiming he didn’t want to go to Texas.
Their feud simmered some while Owens was off TV, but the two went to battle once more last week on Raw. The match didn’t last long, however, and saw Owens deliver a brutal pop-up powerbomb to Zeke on the ring apron. Ezekiel was attended to by medical staff and had to be stretchered out of the arena.
The latest episode of Raw provided a medical update on the star, saying that it would be a long time before he returns to Raw but that he was recovering well in the hospital and that he’s surrounded by his entire family. A graphic of the family showed not only Elias, but also their previously unseen brother Elrod, their mother and father, and also a child. The patriarch of the family, Ernie, Jr., spoke about how he’d like to teach Kevin Owens a lesson for attacking his son.
“I’m telling you, if I ever get my hands on Kevin Owens, he is going to get a piece of my mind, I can tell you that much.”
