More Details On When Becky Lynch Could Reportedly Return To WWE

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch has not been seen in a WWE ring since the night after Money In The Bank 2020 but a new report has given more information as to when The Man might come around.

The last time Becky Lynch competed in the ring was at WrestleMania 36 when she defeated Shayna Baszler to retain her Raw Women’s Championship. One month later was the Money In The Bank pay-per-view where both the men’s and women’s ladder matches were held at WWE Corporate Headquarters with the briefcases being suspended over a ring on the roof of the giant building.

Asuka claimed the women’s briefcase on the night entitling her to a title match anytime, any place against the champion. However, the next night on Raw Asuka got more than she bargained for when she was presented with her briefcase in the ring. Upon opening the case while standing with champion Lynch she found the Raw Women’s Title rather than a contract. Becky Lynch then revealed that she was relinquishing the title and as a result, Asuka had won it when she won Money In The Bank. Lynch then revealed that she was leaving for the foreseeable future to go and be a mother, confirming her pregnancy.

Rumours circulated in the run-up to this year’s Money In The Bank event that the former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion could be set for an imminent return to the ring but there have been no sightings of Lynch yet.

Now Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported that Lynch is expected to return soon but it might not be until some point in September:

“Regarding Lynch, the word we have is that she is returning soon but it would be some time after Labor Day.”

Becky Lynch and her now-husband Seth Rollins welcomed their daughter Roux into the world in December 2020.
