AEW has experienced immense growth in the past few years. The company started with a single weekly program, Dynamite, as its flagship weekly Wednesday night wrestling show.

Since then the company has expanded to include many more shows both on TV and on YouTube: Rampage, Dark, Dark Elevation, Unrestricted, and All Access. And according to several recent reports, AEW is looking to add yet another televised show, this time scheduled for Saturday evenings.

While there has been confirmation that AEW is determined to launch this new program – tentatively titled “Collision” – there is still uncertainty over when it is set to debut. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, the person who first broke the story and has been a central figure in providing updates on it, has likewise been given conflicting information on the show’s start date.

However, Zarian provided an update only a few hours ago that will hopefully clear the air regarding AEW Collision.

AEW set to launch two-hour show that will air weekly on Saturdays from 8pm-10pm EST

Earlier today, Zarian was told that the first episode of Collision is set to take place on June 17th from Chicago.

“Here is what I understand. This show looks to be starting on June 17 in Chicago…A Saturday night show. I’m hearing it’s a two-hour show from 8-10 [pm EST] on Saturdays.”

Zarian added, “They may be preempted somedays I don’t know. That’s me interjecting based on how these things work. I also believe this is going to be on TNT. Multiple people I spoke to said probably on TNT. So that makes it even harder.”

It should also be noted that no formal announcement or press release regarding this new show has come from AEW as of yet.

“Maybe I’m wrong on that date, then. Don’t hold me to. I believe I heard it was June. What are you going to do a Saturday show in the same building and then go back on Dynamite? Maybe I’m wrong here. Now, I’m very confused by this because I had something different in my notes. I’ll check on it. Either way, I heard it’s June. I heard the announcement is coming in mid-May.”

However, AEW has filed to trademark the name “AEW Collision” for entertainment purposes, which does suggest that a new show is indeed on the way.
