IMPACT Wrestling star Moose has reportedly signed a new deal with the company. Not only that a new report has also shone some light on the details of the new contract.
According to Fightful Select while Moose has re-signed with IMPACT, there was interest from other companies. In addition, the report notes that the former NFL star’s new deal runs until the summer of 2023.
“The contract is said to have been a significant improvement over his last deal, though we don’t have details on the financial terms. We’re told by the IMPACT side of things that Moose figures in to their plans in a major way.”
It had initially been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer in May that Moose had signed a new contract. However, Moose later took to Twitter to deny the report, writing that it was “not true.”
The IMPACT star also teased a moved to NXT, tweeting “I love when you all argue about what my NeXT move is!!”
Moose joined IMPACT in 2016 after a two-year stint with Ring Of Honor. Prior to that, the Maryland native enjoyed a spell in the NFL, notably turning out for the Atlanta Falcons and St. Louis Rams.
During his time in IMPACT, the star has won the now defunct Grand Championship and the TNA World title. The former NFL star later lost the TNA World Title in a unification match with Rich Swann.
Moose was last seen in action at IMPACT Wrestling Against All Odds. At the show, the number one contender challenged Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Title but was unsuccessful.
