Moose Reportedly On WWE’s Radar Prior To Re-Signing With IMPACT

WWE was reportedly interested in signing IMPACT Wrestling star Moose prior to his re-signing with the company last month.

In an exclusive from Fightful Select, sources from inside the WWE have confirmed that the company had been monitoring the former IMPACT Grand Champion as his contract was winding down.

Fightful’s sources also revealed that the intention had been for Moose to potentially jump straight to the main roster, had WWE been able to sign him.

However in a previous update from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it was confirmed that Moose has elected to stay with IMPACT through to the Summer of 2023, reportedly with a signifigant pay rise from his previous deal.

Moose has been featured prominently in IMPACT throughout 2021 and was a recent beneficianary of the working relationship between IMPACT and AEW, where he challenged Kenny Omega for the Impact World Title at All Elite’s base in Jacksonville, Florida.

Though unsuccessful in his challenge, Moose remains a key figure in IMPACT, and looks set to remain that way over the coming years.

Going into the year’s Slammiversary show, Moose’s opponent for the card, Chris Sabin, exclusively told Inside the Ropes of his respect for Moose’s aptitude for professional wrestling:

Yeah, so regardless of my personal differences with him, as a fan, I think Moose is awesome and he’s just a star. And one of the things I respect about him the most is that he just really loves wrestling and he has this strong passion that I think really shows through his performances, so I have a lot of respect for Moose.
