After being sidelined for the last couple of months through injury, the Street Profits’ Montez Ford has provided an update on when fans can expect to see him return to in-ring action.
Montez Ford has not wrestled in WWE since late September with his last televised match coming on the September 19th edition of Raw in a losing effort against Ridge Holland and Butch of the Brawling Brutes.
Ford did appear on Raw in October and was seen wearing a walking boot due to suffering a lower leg injury at a WWE live event. But now the former Raw Tag Team Champion has revealed that his return to action is not too far away.
Montez Ford To Return From Injury ‘Pretty Soon’
Ford appeared alongside his wife and current Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair on a recent edition of the TODAY Show to promote an upcoming reality show featuring the couple which will air on Hulu.
During the appearance, Ford was asked about his injury and gave the following update:
“100% now. Should be back pretty soon. Just picking spots and making sure when I arrive, the mission is still at hand, which is with my right-hand man, Angelo Dawkins. That’s winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship,”
Judging by his comments, Ford looks set to return to WWE in the tag team division alongside his partner Angelo Dawkins as part of the Street Profits.
While the Street Profits have enjoyed a lot of success as a team, having won the Tag Team Championships on Raw, SmackDown and in NXT, many fans had been clamouring to see Ford given a chance as a singles Superstar.
Earlier this year, former WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson even backed Ford to become a future World Champion.
