Money In The Bank 2022 Potentially Changing Dates

WWE Money In The Bank

One of WWE’s biggest shows of the year, Money In The Bank is reportedly changing dates from what was previously announced to avoid a major clash with another big event.

Money In The Bank is scheduled to take place at the home of 2021’s SummerSlam, Allegiant Stadium in Nevada. It will be the first time the event has taken place in a stadium, marking Money In The Bank as one of WWE’s ‘Big 5’ shows of the year.

WWE originally announced the show as taking place on Saturday, the 2nd of July, however, UFC is holding a major event in Las Vegas that night in the T-Mobile Arena.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has since reported that he believes WWE will revert to Sunday, the 3rd of July for their show with the company having a hold on the stadium for that date as well:

“I’m told there’s unlikely to be a conflict as WWE also has a hold on Allegiant Stadium for Sunday, July 3. With the Independence Day holiday on Monday, it looks like it will all be sorted by the time Money in the Bank tickets go on sale and there will be pretty big weekend there”

The 2021 Money In The Bank event marked the first premium live event held by the company since returning to the road following the ThunderDome era. On that night Big E and Nikki A.S.H captured their respective briefcases before going on to become champions on Raw.

The night was also memorable for the WWE return of John Cena who set up his SummerSlam main event with WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
