As reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the October 17th episode of Monday Night Raw pulled in 1,803,000 viewers with a 0.50 rating in the 18-49-year-old demographic.
This is a slight decrease on the previous week where the red brand drew 1,824,000 viewers with a 0.55 rating in the aforementioned demographic.
The October 17th edition of Monday Night Raw featured Seth Rollins making the first defence of his WWE United States Championship against Matt Riddle, retaining over ‘The Original Bro’ following the interference of Elias. ‘The Drifter’ had returned to WWE programming that same night, providing an update on his injured ‘brother’, Ezekiel.
Elsewhere, Baron Corbin – having reverted back to this moniker and away from Happy Corbin – made his return to the Raw roster in return for SmackDown obtaining Rey Mysterio. Corbin defeated Dolph Ziggler in his comeback, with WWE Hall of Famer John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield acting as the former United States Champion’s manager moving forward.
The Good Brothers also wrestled their first WWE match since their April 15th 2020 releases, defeating Alpha Academy. It was announced that they’d subsequently be teaming with their OC partner AJ Styles to battle The Judgement Day’s Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th.
