Major League Wrestling have announced that their forthcoming Kings of Colosseum event, which was originally set for pay per view, will now air for free on January 6th.
Meant as a goodwill gesture to fans, whom company CEO Court Bauer acknowledges have had a tough 2020, the show will be available across MLW’s usual outlets including DAZN, Fubo Sports, YouTube, Pluto TV and beIN Sports, among others.
Bauer had the following to say regarding the marquee event:
Times are tough for a lot of folks and we are so grateful for the incredible support from our fans. So, we decided to take this event originally slated to be a Pay-Per-View and give it to fans for free as a gift. We’re going to stack the card with title fights, top-ranked wrestlers, and make it a true tentpole for the league.
The League confirmed that the first match for the event will be revealed on Wednesday’s edition of MLW Fusion, whilst also noting that National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone, CONTRA, World Tag Team Champions Ross & Marshall Von Erich, Lio Rush, Alicia Atout, Tom Lawlor and more will be appearing on the special.
This week’s Fusion has a stacked line up which is headlined by a World Tag Team Title defense for the Von Erichs, who will be facing the CONTRA tandem of Simon Gotch and the reigning MLW World Champion Jacob Fatu.
