MLW Extends Partnership With MARS

MLW x MARS

Major League Wrestling (MLW) has extended its partnership with Martial-Arts Advance Research Systems, the company has confirmed via press release.

MLW have announced the expansion with MARS, confirming that the deal will expand the league’s work with their innovation lab. Viewers of MLW’s televised content can see MARS’ work first-hand as MLW uses in-depth analytics to further enrich the viewer’s experience. Over the last year, fans have enjoyed deeper insights and data on fights and athletes as a result of this partnership.

MARS is known for leading the field in terms of sports analytics and breakthrough research, exploring the science and engineering underlying athletic endeavors – but the partnership with MLW marks the company’s first foray into professional wrestling.

Court Bauer comments:

“This partnership has exceeded all expectations and we now look to expand on it with MARS’ cutting edge tech. We’re extremely proud of what we have accomplished thus far and look forward to working with true pioneers in the sports sciences and analytics space for years to come.”

The partnership between MLW and MARS began in 2019, with the league looking to further explore the science and data of its athletes, matches and events. The MARS innovation lab is “designed to explore furthering athlete development and injury prevention in addition to bout analysis and athlete evaluations” – and the innovation lab is housed in the MARS training complex in Ballard, Utah.

MARS has worked in the past with MIT Management Sloan School and with some of today’s global leaders in combat sports.
