MJF Speaks For The First Time Since Winning AEW World Championship, Knocks Out William Regal

MJF has made his much-anticipated return to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since winning the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view event.

Before the “Salt of the Earth” came out, William Regal came out — despite the threats from Moxley — and introduced MJF to the ring.

MJF Addresses Fans After Winning AEW World Championship

Before getting his promo started, MJF interacted with the crowd as they were yelling expletives at him, then MJF read another email from William Regal. He talked about how Regal wanted him to use the brass knuckles, rather than his Dynamite ring, to not just win against Moxley, but he wanted to completely knock him out.

He then went into the AEW World Championship itself, saying how he’s not a fan of the title and that he reminds him of everybody who had it before him. Then, MJF got William Regal to take off a black sheet that was covering something in the ring. When Regal took the sheet off, it was revealed to be a new championship belt designed just for the “Devil” — the belt was the same design, just with a leather Burberry strap.

After revealing the new world championship belt, the new title holder went into Bryan Danielson, and how he doesn’t wrestle that well. Not staying too long on Danielson, MJF then spoke about the “bidding war of 2024,” bringing up both WWE’s Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Nick Khan, and how he could potentially sign with WWE one day, rather than staying with AEW.

However, MJF then spoke about how he was disgusted with professional wrestling and its fans, saying he might just leave the industry and head to Hollywood for good — this then led to the “Devil” taunting the fans. Following that, he called out several wrestlers, and then he showed respect to William Regal, but as he was walking behind the legend, he nailed him and knocked him out in the middle of the ring.

MJF ended the segment saying Regal “made a deal with the devil,” and that he still has a ton to learn after criticizing the “Salt of the Earth” for the same thing.

After the “Devil” left the ring, medical staff came out to carry out Regal on a stretcher.
