MJF Vs. Bryan Danielson Announced For AEW Revolution 2023

Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson and MJF had a major confrontation on the January 4th episode of AEW Dynamite, which took place in Bryan’s home state of Washington. After Bryan defeated Tony Nese, he said he was ‘feeling froggy’ and dared MJF to come out.

MJF did and the two went back and forth mocking each other’s weaknesses. After making jokes, Bryan reached the crux of the matter and issued a challenge for MJF’s AEW World Championship for AEW Revolution. MJF declined at first, but then made Bryan an ultimatum.

Important series of Bryan Danielson matches announced for several upcoming episodes of Dynamite

After MJF initially refused Bryan Danielson’s challenge, MJF changed his mind. He said he would grant Bryan his title shot…BUT only if he accomplished some tasks beforehand.

MJF said that Bryan can only become #1 contender if he wins each and every match of his between now and February 8th, 2023. If Bryan can manage this, then MJF will accept him as the #1 contender.

Bryan was skeptical at first. He expected there to be some loophole or some other kind of deception at play. As such, Bryan accepted MJF’s terms but only under a condition of his own. Bryan said that he would be willing to run MJF’s gauntlet if he got to pick the stipulation for their AEW Revolution match.

Cocky and arrogant, MJF accepted this term and mocked Bryan thinking Bryan would pick a stipulation that would still allow MJF to cheat or otherwise find a deceitful way to retain his title.

But Bryan was one step ahead and picked a stipulation that wouldn’t allow MJF to win by cheating. That’s because at AEW Revolution on March 5th, 2023, MJF will defend his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Ironman match.

The opponents that Bryan Danielson will have to defeat as part of M JF’s gauntlet have not been announced as of this writing.
