Fresh off his return to AEW programming, MJF has further teased jumping ship to WWE after being pictured alongside a current WWE personality.
MJF made his anticipated return to All Elite Wrestling at the conclusion of All Out, confronting CM Punk moments after he lifted the AEW World Championship. Though he made his intentions clear, it appears ‘The Salt of the Earth’ is still eyeing up a move away from the company.
Taking to Twitter, he hilariously tweeted a photo of him with Peter Rosenberg, describing him as “one of the best wrestling wrestling broadcast journalists”. Ending his tweet was simply the hashtag #2024 – the year his AEW deal expires.

MJF is said to be seriously considering his options when 2024 rolls around. His AEW contract will expire that year, with the three-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner taking offers from WWE as genuine options – whether or not he actually joins the company over the next few years remains to be seen.
He returned to AEW at All Out, being unveiled at the end of the show as the masked Joker entrant in the Casino Ladder Match. Stokely Hathaway had previously retrieved the casino chip for MJF after his litany of managerial clients laid waste to the remainder of the competition.
Issues between him and AEW head office had been cited as the reason for his months-long absence after last appearing on the post-Double or Nothing Dynamite. As of now, it’s not been confirmed whether MJF has signed a contract extension with AEW.
