MJF Calls Out “Shadow Casted Over AEW” In Recent Months

MJF

After making his return to AEW at All Out and winning the Casino Ladder Match, MJF was guaranteed an opportunity at the AEW World Championship. Finally cashing in his chance, the star is set to face Jon Moxley this weekend at AEW Full Gear.

The star has been waging a war of words ahead of the bout, going head to head with William Regal on the microphone multiple times and making it clear that he intends to dethrone Moxley for the good of AEW.

Taking to social media to promote the match, MJF said that there has been a “shadow casted over AEW,” no doubt in reference to the altercation between CM Punk and The Elite following AEW All Out that left all parties suspended. While The Elite are set to return at AEW Full Gear, CM Punk is likely done with the company after two short reigns as AEW World Champion.

In MJF’s tweet, he indicated that the company needs a champion like him in order to rise to the next level of success.

“There’s been a shadow casted over AEW by a bunch of fucking bullshit. We are closer then ever to stepping out of the darkness and into the light. We have the roster. We have the platform. Now all we need is stability, change, and leadership. We need the Devil. I’m ready.”

MJF Expressed Similar Thoughts In A Fiery Off-Air Promo Following AEW Dynamite

Following the November 16th episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF got on the microphone and called out “bullsh*t” that had gone on within the company before praising AEW President Tony Khan for creating an alternative to WWE.

“I’d like to get real real quick with all y’all, real quick. Just give me a second. No bullshit. Everybody listen to me real quick. A lot of bullsh*t has gone on, a lot of bullsh*t. We all know it. However, let me make something crystal clear. Me and [Tony], we’ve been at odds once or twice. I’m not gonna stand here and pretend that’s not the case. But there’s something I take issue with that I’ve been seeing lately.

Everybody make some noise if you’re a fan of professional wrestling. Now, you guys think you’re wrestling fans. Imagine for one second, if you had the opportunity to bring your love of professional wrestling out to the world and create an alternative. Would you do it? This man right here busts his ass, week in, week out to give not just you, but to give all the boys in the back an opportunity to show the world how much we love professional wrestling.”
