MJF has had some strong words for US television personality Rosie O’Donnell saying she fears the man that once sweetly sang ‘You Are My Sunshine’ on her show.
In a clip that has done the rounds for several years among wrestling fans, a very young Maxwell Jacob Friedman appeared on The Rosie O’Donnell Show singing the classic tune which is one of the state songs of Louisiana.
Years later MJF finds himself a big star in the wrestling world as the leader of The Pinnacle in AEW. But speaking on the Game Marks podcast, Friedman says despite his status, O’Donnell won’t speak with him again.
MJF explained, as only MJF can:
“Rosie is a dumb fat b*tch. Keep that in, don’t edit it out. We tried to reach out to her several times. I would be giving her the rub by the way, not the other way around. She desperately needs the limelight right now. I’m on top of the world. We thought it would be interesting if we could have another interview while I’m on top of the world. To my knowledge, her people declined, probably out of fear for me showing the world that she still owes me money from the last time I did an interview with her. I was never compensated. She stole money from a five-year-old, who does that? Sickening. I got Shrek ears and a $25 coupon to Dunkin Donuts.”
Although the precocious Friedman chose to make his living in the wrestling ring rather than in the music world, he showed he could still carry a tune when he performed in ‘Le Dinner Debonair’ with Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite.
Friedman’s singing days seem to be behind him however as he has never been more serious now he leads The Pinnacle under the tutelage of Tully Blanchard. MJF will look to give his group bragging rights over Inner Circle on the 30th of June episode of AEW Dynamite when he faces Stadium Stampede victor Sammy Guevara in that night’s main event.
