MJF might still have a home in AEW but that doesn’t mean he can’t admire WWE Superstars from afar as he names his favourite member of The Bloodline.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman has been a controversial name in recent months following his hiatus from AEW over the summer. Reports emerged before Double Or Nothing in May that the Burberry-adorned star was unhappy in the company and there were murmurs that he could even no-show his pay-per-view match with Wardlow.
At All Out, a masked man, with the help of Stokely Hathaway and The Firm, captured the poker chip to win the Casino Ladder Match and guarantee himself an AEW World Championship match – that man turned out to be none other than MJF.
While talk of his contract running out in 2024 and a potential move to WWE has not exactly subsided, for now, it seems that the AEW faithful will have to put up with MJF for another year at least.
Speaking on Barstool’s Rasslin podcast, The Salt of the Earth did not shy away from talking about WWE as he was asked about his favourite member of The Bloodline. Initially going to choose ‘Honorary Uce’ Sami Zayn, MJF decided on someone else, Paul Heyman:
“I’m going to go with my ‘Uncle Paul’ … I mean, I know he’s a member of my tribe, but no, he’s Bloodline, he’s Bloodline offish, making major moves.”
