Vince McMahon is back with WWE and the company is seemingly beginning to take steps to secure a sale.
The former Chairman sensationally returned to WWE’s Board of Directors on January 6th. As majority shareholder, McMahon appointed himself and two associates to the Board, while removing three serving members.
This was followed by reports that WWE have no hired JP Morgan to advise on a potential sale. It is believed that if a deal would occur, it would take place in the next three to six months. So naturally, the question now becomes who can realistically buy WWE?
MJF References Vince McMahon’s WWE Return
WWE’s future has become the biggest topic of conversation in the entire industry. So big that even AEW World Champion MJF felt he had to comment. In a post on social media, MJF took time to remind everyone that he’s big fans of Comcast (NBC Universal), Fox, Disney, Warner Bros Discovery, Netflix, Amazon, Endeavor Group Holdings, and Liberty Media.
Each of the companies listed were recently highlighted as parties who might be interested in purchasing WWE.

MJF’s latest comments come as he continues to try and manufacture the “Bidding war of 2024.” The AEW Champion has made no secret of the fact that he would welcome interest from WWE when his contract expires early next year. In fact the star has even hinted that he could take the AEW World Title with him, as naturally he believes he’ll still be champion.
The Salt of the Earth isn’t the first AEW star to comment on Vince McMahon’s return with boss Tony Khan also getting in on the action. Following the conformation from WWE management, Khan joked that everyone at work was being really nice to him.
Just hours later at Battle of the Belts, Max Castor name-dropped McMahon in his entrance rap, saying that Jeff Jarrett was worse than the former WWE Chairman.
