To close out tonight’s AEW Dynamite, we had two major developments with MJF: 1. He’s now out of The Firm faction 2. It appears that All Elite Wrestling is potentially turning him babyface.
After the main event between Jon Moxley and Pénta El Zero M for the AEW World Championship, which saw Moxley retain, The Firm (Stokely Hathaway, Ethan Page, W. Morrissey, Lee Moriarty, Gunn Club) came into the ring and launched an attack on Moxley. Led by Stokely, The Firm would do this against the wishes of MJF, who had a confrontation with Stokely earlier on the show and told him to back off.
MJF Attempted To Save Jon Moxley
Frustrated by his faction’s actions, MJF came out to the AEW entrance and thought about saving Moxley. Conflicted, he went backstage once again and appeared to take himself out of the equation. However, after just a few moments, he would run to the squared circle to push all of his faction mates away to save his AEW World Champion enemy, then yelling at Moxley.
Then, MJF would turn around to confront his stable, instead getting hit with a lethal super kick from Ethan Page. After that, Page would lay a signature slam on the “Devil,” officially marking the end of his time in The Firm before the rest of the faction would get in on the destruction of MJF.

To close things out on AEW Dynamite, The Firm had MJF outside of the ring, slamming him through the table, appearing to give the “Salt of the Earth” a babyface appeal.

At AEW’s pay-per-view event of Full Gear, Jon Moxley and MJF are set to square off in the main event for the AEW World Championship. AEW Full Gear takes place on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, with both men getting worn down on tonight’s AEW Dynamite as we get closer to the event.
