Not content to simply conquer the world of wrestling, MJF confirmed that he has a movie in the works as well as other projects!
MJF is one of the most dynamic performers in wrestling today, consistently stirring up buzz for himself with his quick wit and ability to rile up any audience. He’s also proven that he’s a very business-minded individual, regularly citing the upcoming “bidding war of 2024” in reference to his plans to pit WWE and AEW against each other when his contract expires that year.
Speaking to Sam Roberts on the Notsam Wrestling Podcast, MJF revealed that while he’s achieved massive success in the industry, he doesn’t even like professional wrestling and is simply using the business to advance himself in other endeavors. He then revealed that he has other projects in the works, including a huge movie role and a potential podcast opportunity.
“I don’t even like wrestling. Here’s the thing. I studied it. I had to in order to be the best. I think through studying it, I grew an appreciation towards professional wrestling, but once I’m done with wrestling, you will never see me again.
“I am using this sport like a succubus. I am sucking the life out of it, the blood, the money, and then I will be gone. I’ve already booked a huge movie. I am not allowed to announce what it is, but it will be happening and it will be announced soon. The people in Warner Bros. Discovery are crazy high on MJF, coming up with potential ideas for MJF outside of the wrestling sphere. There’s also a podcasting opportunity that has been thrown my way that I am considering.”
After months away from the company following a fiery dispute with Tony Khan, MJF returned to AEW at All Out to win the Casino Ladder Match and guarantee himself an opportunity at the AEW World Championship any time he chooses. On the most recent episode of Dynamite, he earned a victory over Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club.
