Former WWE Star Lana recently revealed that she pitched a dangerous spot multiple times in WWE, but her idea was repeatedly shut down by her husband Miro.
It’s fair to say that Lana was not known as the most extreme performer during her WWE run, but it turns out she had a burning desire to be put through a table.
Speaking on Busted Open, the 37-year-old recalled begging for a table spot in WWE:
“I actually begged for it. I’m not even kidding. I wanted to go through a table for a really long time, and Miro was like, ‘Absolutely not!’ He’s like, ‘Do you want to die?’ And I’m like, ‘No, but I wanna go through a table!’ I pitched so many times for me to go through a table,”
Lana (aka CJ Perry) originally pitched a table spot in her mixed tag team match when she teamed with Bobby Lashley to face Liv Morgan and Miro (known then as Rusev), but the idea was rejected by both her husband and Vince McMahon:
“When we had that story with Bobby Lashley. I pitched when we had that match with Liv. He was with Liv and I was with Bobby. I’m like, ‘You superkick Bobby, he moves out of the way, you superkick me in the face, and we’re gonna have a table! I can go through a table!’ But, Vince and Miro shut that down, first Miro shut that down.”
Perry was finally granted her wish during her 2020 feud with Nia Jax, where she was put through the commentator’s table not just once, but for nine consecutive weeks of Monday Night Raw!
CJ Perry was released from her WWE contract in June of 2021 and has yet to wrestle again since. However, she recently spoke with Inside The Ropes’ own Liam Stewart and exclusively revealed what it would take for her to return to wrestling.
