Miro Set For Huge Singles Match At AEW All Out

Miro aka Rusev in AEW

AEW Superstar Miro is set for a huge singles bout at AEW All Out.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion is set to meet Powerhouse Hobbs at the highly anticipated event set to emanate from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on September 3rd.

The bout was confirmed this past weekend on AEW Rampage, with Miro answering the challenge after Hobbs had defeated Kevin Ku.

Miro has enjoyed mixed success in AEW since debuting in September 2020, with the highlight being the capture of the AEW TNT Championship from Darby Allin in May 2021. He was announced as one of the featured talents when AEW Collision premiered on June 17th, defeating Tony Nese by submission on the inaugural episode.

In recent news, it has been confirmed that Jon Moxley will challenge for the AEW International Championship at AEW All Out.

Legendary Star Believes Miro Could Have Been WWE Champion

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Road Dogg believes that Miro could have risen to the very top during his tenure with WWE, explaining on a previous edition of “Oh … You Didn’t Know?” that the Bulgarian could easily have unseated then WWE Champion AJ Styles at Extreme Rules 2018:

“Of course, he could be a champion, honestly. He could have beat AJ that night and been the champion. And I’ll tell you why. I think him and Lana were a great package. I think she was beautiful to look at. He was a killer.

“I think it was a great package. I think it was right out of central casting for Rocky 17, you know, and they worked perfectly together. He got in shape. He was legitimately hilarious when he would speak in broken English.

“He could have been an entertaining babyface or a heel champion because I do think the promos would have been, could have been, classic and we would have had a ‘Rusev Day’ every year and had a big celebration. So yeah, he definitely could have been the man. Maybe he still will be, you know what I mean?”
