Miro Returns To Action On AEW Dynamite

Miro

After being out of action since November 2021, Miro has made a stunning return to AEW Dynamite.

Miro hadn’t wrestled since being defeated by Bryan Danielson in the final of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament at Full Gear on November 13th. That match came after Miro was added to the tournament at the eleventh hour with Jon Moxley unable to compete. The former WWE star first dispatched Orange Cassidy before meeting Danielson.

It was later reported that neither of these matches were planned as the star was dealing with a hamstring injury. In fact, The Redeemer had been out of action since losing the TNT Championship to Sammy Guevara on September 29th.

However, on June 1st, the former TNT Champion finally returned to action, answering an open challenge from Johnny Elite.

The former John Morrison, and Johnny Nitro only made his AEW debut on the 18th of May edition of Dynamite when he was revealed as the Joker to take on Samoa Joe in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Johnny Elite failed to pick up the win on that occasion, but scored his first victory in the company over Marq Quen on AEW Dark.

Fast-forward to Dynamite and both men came out all guns blazing. Miro initially made his superior power count, but Johnny Elite fired back with his signature unorthodox offence. However, The Redeemer wasn’t in the mood to hang around, wrapping his opponent up in his Game Over submission to earn the win.

Miro recently revealed on social media that he had been living in Brooklyn, New York while filming filming a new TV series called “East New York.”
