Mike Tyson has been made a member of the Inner Circle after an incredible brawl between Chris Jericho’s faction and The Pinnacle on AEW Dynamite.
Jericho faced off The Pinnacle’s Dax Harwood in a one-on-one match with Tyson as the special enforcer on Dynamite. As the match wore on Sammy Guevara scuffled with Cash Wheeler at ringside before both groups spilled out on the stage in an all-out fight.
During the carnage, Harwood’s FTR partner Cash Wheeler retrieved Jericho’s bat to interfere in the match. Wheeler was stopped in his tracks by Tyson who then downed Wheeler with a vicious right hook. Soon after Jericho was able to level Harwood with the Judas Effect elbow for the victory.
Chris Jericho took to the microphone after the match to make Tyson’s place in the Inner Circle official:
“As you pieces of trash leave, I wanna make this official right here, right now. ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson is an ancillary member of the Inner Circle!”
Earlier in the night, Jericho had addressed his history with Tyson including ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ knocking him out on Raw in 2010. Jericho explained that after the Inner Circle had been attacked by The Pinnacle on Dynamite, they had changed their ways. The former AEW Champion then explained that he had called Tyson to apologise for their previous actions.
Tyson appeared on AEW Dynamite in May 2020 when he confronted Jericho and the Inner Circle. That ended with a huge pull-apart brawl between the Inner Circle and Tyson’s posse which included MMA legend, Vitor Belfort.
Also on AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin defended his TNT Championship against Matt Hardy in the main event.
