Mickie James Says She’s Been “Comfortably Uncomfortable” In WWE

Mickie James

Former six times WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James has spoken about how she had felt at WWE over the past two years following her release from the company.

James is a host of GAW TV alongside Lisa Marie Varon AKA Victoria and So Cal Val. It was on the fiftieth episode of their YouTube show that James touched on her last couple of years with WWE.

Mickie James noted that while she is grateful for her time in the company, she feels she was being pigeon-holed.

James explained:

“Obviously now, I’m not with WWE. I got my ‘future endeavor’ on Thursday [April 15]. I don’t want it to ever feel like I’m not thankful or not grateful because I’ve had so much fun and the girls in the locker room and I’m grateful for so many experiences, but I honestly feel in the last two years that I’ve been comfortably uncomfortable. I’ve been trying to be pigeonholed or fit into a square mold of ‘this is what we want you to be’ and ‘this is what we want you to believe you are’ and I’m just not that. A lot has been happening in the last two years and I’ve been in this little space. I’m not going to get super deep on it.”

So Cal Val then noted that Micke James will be talking in-depth about her most recent run in WWE on their next episode. James rejoined WWE in 2016 after six years away from the company. She was part of a raft of releases from WWE in April 2021 alongside Samoa Joe and The IIconics among others.
