Mickie James has confirmed that she will return to the ring on August 29th at NWA 73.
The match will mark the former WWE Women’s Champion’s first match since her release by WWE on April 15th 2021.
The weekend of NWA’s anniversary show was already shaping up to be a huge occasion for the wrestler turned singer after it was announced that NWA will hold it’s first ever all-women’s pay-per-view on August 28th. The show titled NWA EMPOWERRR will be executively produced by James in her first wrestling venture since leaving WWE.
However, the star has now also confirmed that she will be stepping back inside the ropes for the first time since the Royal Rumble in January.
Speaking in the new clip posted on social media, Mickie James issued an open challenge, while asking fans to suggest who she should face at the event.

Following the announcement of the all-female show, James confirmed that she had no plans to wrestle at the event. Although, speaking on the NWA Powerrr post-show, the star refused to rule out appearing at NWA 73.
Meanwhile, following NWAâs move to FITE TV, Inside The Ropes recently learned that the promotionâs subscription rate is âfar exceedingâ the expectations of the global streaming company â both in terms of subscriptions and revenue. FITE TV will host both NWA EMPOWERRR and NWA 73.
