Mick Foley Says Seth Rollins’ Gimmick Is One Of His Favourites In Recent Years

Mick Foley & Seth Rollins

Mick Foley has praised Seth Rollins’ current character, hailing it as one of his favourites in recent years.

On the May 2nd episode of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins held Seth Rollins appreciation night. The former World Champion said that he had enjoyed WWE paying tribute to Randy Orton the previous week, but this time, it was all about him.

Rollins heralded himself as a “visionary, revolutionary and sex icon” before turning fans’ attention to a video package as they chanted for Cody Rhodes. However, before the video began, the American Nightmare interrupted.

Rhodes began by taunting and verbally prodding his rival, but it was Rollins who quickly upped the ante. WWE’s resident fashionista said that Rhodes’ father Dusty was an ego maniac, but was never good enough to claim the big prize, the WWE Championship. He added that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and while he’s on hand Cody will never be WWE Champion either.

As Rollins laughed maniacally, Rhodes hit a springboard cutter to lay out his rival to close the segment.

Tweeting along with the show, Mick Foley heaped praise on The Visionary and his current character.

The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes has been building since WrestleMania 38 where the former AEW star made his return to WWE.

It has since been announced that the pair will meet again at WrestleMania Backlash.

Raw opened with The Bloodline taking centre stage, after their chaotic exchange with RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre on SmackDown.

As Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns addressed the crowd, Randy Orton and Riddle ran into the ring and hit the Usos with surprise RKO’s. This left the way clear for Drew McIntyre to come face to face with Reigns. As the two brawled, RK-Bro and the Usos got back involved in a chaotic end to the segment.

There were also wins for Veer, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles and Theory and The Miz who teamed to beat Mustafa Ali in a Handicap Match.
