Mick Foley Questions Bizarre Photoshop Of John Cena Movie Poster

Promotional material for the John Cena-fronted Vacation Friends has sent Mick Foley into a frenzy over a potentially-altered portion of Cena’s body.

The Hulu original comedy film Vacation Friends was released on 27 August 2021 and received generally mixed reviews. Starring WWE Superstar John Cena alongside Lil Rey Howery, Yvonne Orji, and Meredith Hagner, among others, the cast was praised for bringing out the best in the film.

However, 20th Century Studios has been accused by Mick Foley of photoshopping a fake forearm onto John Cena in some promotional material for the film. The movie’s poster sees Cena, Howery, Orji, and Hagner posing, with the former 16-time World Champion shown with a noticeably smaller forearm than is typical.

Mick Foley discussed the matter on the latest Foley Is Pod, comparing John Cena’s forearm to that of Popeye The Sailor Man:

“Let me tell you something, brother, I know John Cena. John Cena is a friend of mine. John Cena has a forearm that I referred to in my Santa memoir as one that Popeye the Sailor Man would be envious of. It’s obvious to me, that’s not John Cena’s forearm in the movie poster, that’s a normal person’s forearm. John Cena does not have a normal forearm.

Cena didn’t have guts, stamina, [or] intestinal fortitude to step in there and do the photoshoot of his own [arm]. I think this might sound slanderous but I think that there was some photoshopping going on. I’m not even sure all those four people were in the same room at the same time. They just thought they were going to drape a normal forearm and they were going to get that past me? Not on my watch, not in Mick Foley’s America. So, John Cena, you have some explaining to do.”

Beginning his acting career in 2000’s Ready To Rumble, John Cena has since made a name for himself outside of the squared circle. Appearing in such films as The Suicide Squad, Fast & Furious 9, and the Daddy’s Home franchise, John Cena’s The Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker debuted earlier this year.

Upcoming film projects for the two-time Royal Rumble winner include The Independent, Project X-Traction, and Wile E. Coyote.

Mick Foley is no stranger to the big screen himself. ‘The Hardcore Legend’ has made appearances both as himself in Beyond The Mat and Bloodstained Memoirs, and as fictional characters in Chokeslam and 12 Hour Shift.
