There isn’t a lot that Mick Foley didn’t achieve throughout his storied wrestling career and the Hardcore Legend had more than earned his place in the WWE Hall Of Fame when he was inducted back in 2013.
But like a lot of professional wrestlers, Mick Foley has continued to keep his eye on the current product and can’t help but wonder about what he could have done with the current crop of talent if he was still active today.
Mick Foley Names Current WWE And AEW Stars As Dream Opponents If He Was Still In His Prime Today
During a recent episode of his ‘Foley Is Pod’ podcast, the legendary wrestler participated in an ‘Ask Mick Anything’ Q&A segment and was asked by a fan about which wrestlers he would love to face today if he was still in his prime.
Foley answered:
“Oh man, I love I would love to work with Moxley. Bray Wyatt, I imagine the promos can be really cool. I always liked working with people who had polar opposite styles to mine, and then putting a little of my own style into it.”
He continued:
“So somebody like Darby Allin would have been great to work with. Ricochet, if he had had a hot program coming out of the gate, I think it would have made a big difference that there. Man, I can’t stress enough how important it is to have one of those great marriages quickly and establish a lot of guys, I think that was the only thing missing [for Ricochet], that great rivalry right out of the gate.”
Back in 2012, Mick Foley was infamously slated to work a feud with Jon Moxley, then working as Dean Ambrose in WWE, but the story never made it to television. Foley spoke about why the intended feud never happened during an Inside The Ropes Live show.
