The Undertaker’s wife Michelle McCool reveals how his infamous fear of cucumbers came about!

While many people have fears of fire, spiders, or heights, The Undertaker is afraid of what might be seen as an unassuming fruit: the cucumber.

Speaking on the Wives of Wrestling podcast, the Deadman’s wife Michelle McCool discussed this strange phobia, and revealed how the couple’s daughter isn’t all that understanding about her father’s aversion.

“We can’t even have one in the room. Every birthday, [daughter] Kaia gets cucumbers. She’ll like put them under his pillow, she’ll put them in his car. Cucumbers, he can’t even smell them … can’t even be around it.”

McCool continued, revealing the reason behind his fear stems from a particularly bad experience.

“He ate so many cucumbers one day that he got sick. And ever since then, it was just game over.”

However, while the American Badass won’t be making salads with cucumbers in them any time soon, his wife claims that he’s a really good cook, particularly when it comes to grilling.

“He’s a grillmaster … He is a really good cook.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Michelle McCool recalled being questioned by the police when someone falsely claimed as a prank that she had killed her husband with a sledgehammer.

The Undertaker was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame ahead of WrestleMania 38 in his home state of Texas, and during his speech, he emotionally thanked his wife for supporting him and helping him become the man he is today.
