Legendary boxing and professional wrestling ring announcer Michael Buffer has shared a video congratulating Eric Bischoff on his upcoming WWE Hall of Fame induction.
While synonymous with the world of boxing, the reigning, defending and undisputed, most famous announcer in the world, also worked for WCW during the 1990’s.
Following WCW’s closure, Buffer continued to announce some of the biggest boxing matches in history, while he has also appeared in the WWE. Most notably at the 2008 Royal Rumble.
During the short clip, Buffer refers to Eric Bischoff as one of the “all-time legends of the world of professional wrestling” in his much imitated trademark style.

“He’s an executive, he’s a wrestler, he was the founding father of World Championship Wrestling, and led WCW to 83 consecutive ratings wars victories over the WWF… An innovator, a creative genius. Well I know that to be a fact because he hired me to be the ring announcer for many of those WCW main events around the world. This undefeated, undisputed legend in the world of professional wrestling is about to be inducted into the hall of fame. The WWE Hall of Fame, one of the most prestigious organisations in the world today, and it’s well deserved. So congratulations to Mr Eric Bischoff!”
Buffer closes the clip by beginning his famous ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’ catchphrase before cutting off, joking that his lawyer would have a problem with him doing the whole thing.
Eric Bischoff will be joined in the 2021 class of the WWE Hall of Fame by Kane, Molly Holly and The Great Khali.
The WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will air on Tuesday, April 6th on Peacock and the WWE Network. The Class of 2021 will be inducted alongside the postponed Class of 2020.
