‘Michael Cole’ Returns To The Ring; Loses To Bayley In Hilarious Video

Michael Cole on commentary at WWE SummerSlam 2022

After years of feuding, Bayley finally got to beat up ‘Michael Cole’ in a hilarious new video filmed before WWE SmackDown!

Bayley and Michael Cole have had an off-and-off rivalry since early 2020, stemming from Bayley constantly taunting Cole during her early days as a heel. After almost four years, however, the two have finally settled their differences in the ring… technically.

Prior to last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Bayley decided to have some fun by laying down an open challenge in the middle of the ring. To the surprise of Cole, who was standing at ringside, the challenge was answered by none other than himself!

Cole can be heard chuckling as Kayla Braxton, dressed in a bodysuit with his old ring gear and even adorning a soul patch, made her way to the ring accompanied by his entrance music. As she passed Cole, she gave him a double high-five as he questioned where she got his ring gear from.

Things didn’t go well for ‘Cole’ though as Bayley almost immediately pinned him. The real Michael Cole made sure to note on commentary that “I don’t cower like that, ever” and hit out at Bayley for getting “blown up” from the short bout.

The hilarious segment can be seen in full below via Braxton’s Instagram. She accompanied the video with the caption “Bayley vs Michael Cole dream match has finally happened. And sorry Cole, but looks like the streak has ended!”

Michael Cole Almost Returned To The Ring For Real Recently

Former WWE star Top Dolla, who was released from the company last month, revealed that Michael Cole almost legitimately returned to the ring to have a match with him!

In a post to X, Dolla claimed that he and Cole had talked “at length” about Cole returning to the ring for the first time since 2012 to capitalize on Cole’s constant jabs at Dollar on commentary. However, the idea was shot down by others in the company.

In a new interview in 2024, Bayley has given her honest thoughts on Michael Cole.
