Mia Yim was reportedly set to debut on the most recent episode of SmackDown.

The Superstar formerly known as Reckoning during her time in RETRIBUTION, hasn’t been seen on television since the group disbanded at Fastlane.

It was recently reported that Yim was due to move to SmackDown, although at the time, there were no details available about a potential debut. However, it has now reportedly come to light that Yim was to debut on the Throwback Edition of the show and begin a new feud.

According to Fightful Select, Yim’s debut was pulled due to time constraints. While her appearance would have also led to a feud with Carmella.

The report notes that the ‘throwback’ idea came from Fox, which left WWE needing to find time to slot in ‘throwback’ content to fit the theme. Fightful add that Roman Reigns’ allotted time was also altered.

“As noted, the Throwback Smackdown was a Fox idea that WWE quickly accommodated. We’re told that time was also added to Roman Reign’s program, though we’re unsure if this added to the time cut directly affecting Mia Yim’s delay.”

Mia Yim initially joined WWE in 2014, working as an enhancement talent on NXT, while also appearing as one of Adam Rose’s ‘Rose Buds.’ Yim later went on to sign for IMPACT Wrestling where she enjoyed a great deal of success working under the ring-name Jade. During her time in IMPACT, Yim won the Knockouts Championship and feuded with the likes of Gail Kim and Rosemary.

Yim returned to WWE in 2017, competing in the Mae Young Classic, before also competing in the same tournament a year later. Following her 2018 performance, Yim was signed by the company on a full-time basis.
