Mercedes Mone To Face Former WWE Star At Upcoming Indy Show

WWE Star Clarifies He Is Good Friends With Mercedes Mone, Did Not Mock Her $100 Texting Service

House of Glory has named a former WWE star as Mercedes Mone‘s opponent at City of Dreamz.

On March 15th, Mone will make her first independent appearance since 2012 at HOG City of Dreamz. Now, the promotion has announced The CEO will face former WWE star Indi Hartwell at the event.

Although Hartwell is the reigning ROW Women’s Champion and Mone currently holds gold in AEW, NJPW, and RevPro, the first-ever match between the pair is listed as a non-title singles bout.

Responding to the news, Mone reposted an image from 2016 showing her meeting a young Indi Hartwell in the gym. At the time, Hartwell told Mone that she and Bayley were the reason she started training to become a pro wrestler.

Mercedes Mone Reveals Post-Retirement Plans

Recently, Mercedes Mone opened up on her future in pro wrestling. While the star has no intention of retiring soon, she admitted that she has been thinking about slowing down as aches and pains start to catch up with her. The CEO also has ambitions outside of the squared circle she wants to pursue while she is still able to.

When she does hang up her boots, though, Mone wants to continue to be part of the pro wrestling world. The star says she wants to take on a producer or coach role to help the next generation of women. However, for now, she is focused on “making women’s wrestling global.”
