Mercedes Mone has a major new goal in mind.

At Wrestle Dynasty in the Tokyo Dome, Mercedes Mone defeated Mina Shirakawa to become a triple champion. The CEO added the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Title to her collection of gold, which also includes the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title and AEW’s TBS Championship.

The match was Mone’s Tokyo Dome in-ring debut and fulfilled a dream she has had since she was 13-years-old. Speaking at the post-Wrestle Dynasty press conference, the star reflected on her victory and revealed that she has set her sights on a bigger goal, being part of the main event in the historic venue.

“I really just don’t have words to describe this feeling. I wish everybody could feel my heart right now because all these emotions, all these dreams that I’ve had since I was a little girl, I can’t believe I’ve done it, I accomplished it. But there’s so many more dreams, this is only the beginning.
“New Japan only started its women’s division just a couple of years ago and now look at it. The women in New Japan and AEW, all over the globe are incredible, women’s wrestling is amazing, and I hope tonight we showed you just a little glimpse of what we can do.
“My dreams are just getting started, I want to main event Tokyo Dome one day, I want to keep on having these dreams and having little girls and little boys all around the world look up to us, look up to me and be like, ‘if she can do it, I can do it too.'”

Women’s main events are rare in the Toyko Dome, with only two events having been headlined by all-women matches in the venue’s long history and none since the 1990s.

Mercedes Mone Sets Out Life Mission

Besides her new dream, Mercedes Mone has revealed her “life’s mission.” Instead of making a New Year’s Resolution, the star explained she has set herself a longterm goal of expanding awareness and opportunities for female athletes around the world.
