Despite being in rival wrestling companies Mercedes Mone and Bayley remain steadfast comrades.
The two stars have a long history together. As members of the Four Horsewomen of NXT, they helped reenvision women’s wrestling in WWE before revolutionising the business for future generations of female performers.
Their influence was met with success and both went on to become multi-time Women’s Champions and Grand Slam Champions. During their time together on Raw and SmackDown they were a dominant force in the women’s division and at one point held all of the championships available to them.
In 2022, Mone sensationally exited the company and headed to NJPW, STARDOM and AEW. But, the duo showed that their friendship transcends wrestling companies as they have continued to support one another throughout their now separate career paths. For example, the former leader of Damage CTRL travelled to Tokyo to watch Mone’s Japanese debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17.
Mone showed her unwavering support for her friend, calling her to shine on the big stage and reminding her that she was “born to do this.” Taking to social media she sent her sister in arms a heartfelt message before her first WrestleMania singles match.
Be so good they can’t ignore you because yoU we’re born to do this
