As the Royal Rumble looms, Mercedes Mone has hinted that a return to WWE might just be in the cards…
The former Sasha Banks has not been seen in WWE since walking out of the company back in May 2022, allegedly over creative disagreements regarding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship which she and Naomi held at the time.
Since her subsequent WWE departure, Mone has gone on to make a name for herself in both New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Stardom, becoming the second-ever IWGP Women’s Champion back in February. However, she’s been out of action since May due to an ankle injury and her contract with NJPW has since lapsed, leaving her future uncertain.
With news recently emerging that her former Four Horsewomen allies Charlotte Flair and Bayley have both re-signed with WWE, speculation has risen regarding the possibility that Mone could return to WWE, particularly as a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble next month.
Mone herself has now added fuel to that fire with a series of cryptic new social media posts. On her Instagram Story, Mone shared several photos of fan-made Funko POP! Vinyl figures that represent various points during her WWE career. The WWE logo can be seen on all the figures’ boxes and they also feature Sasha Banks as her name, not Mercedes Mone.

Despite the hints, a recent report has claimed talks between Mercedes Mone and WWE have collapsed.
Mercedes Mone Has A Higher Asking Price Than Charlotte Flair
If Mercedes Mone does end up returning to WWE, the promotion will have to shell out a huge amount to make it happen.
A report emerged earlier this week revealing that Mone’s asking price to return to WWE is said to be higher than what Charlotte Flair was paid as part of her new WWE deal, which made her one of the highest-paid female stars in company history.
