WWE Survivor Series WarGames

With Survivor Series a little over a week away, the card for the event is now beginning to take shape. On the November 18th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the men’s WarGames match for the event was made official.

The episode opened with Sheamus, Butch, Ridge Holland and Drew McIntyre in the ring, and addressing their history.

Second WarGames Match Made Official For Survivor Series

Sheamus explained the history between himself and Drew McIntyre, breaking down that while they’ve battled for 20 years, those battles have forged mutual respect. This led McIntyre to be the Best Man at the Irish star’s recent wedding.

For his part, McIntyre said that he knew more than most about being outnumbered by The Bloodline. The group were interrupted by Sami Zayn who made the bold decision to guarantee victory against The Brawling Brutes for The Bloodline.

Sheamus didn’t reveal the identity of the fifth member of his team, but said that it would be the last person that Zayn expects.

At time of writing the two teams are as follows – The Bloodline will be made up of Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa, while The Brawling Brutes feature Sheamus, Butch, Ridge Holland, Drew McIntyre and a mystery fifth member.

It was reported in recent days that Kevin Owens is scheduled to take up the remaining spot at Survivor Series. However, the star suffered a knee injury at a live event, placing his participation in doubt.

The women’s WarGames match at the event sees Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY), Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross team up to take on Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim and a mystery partner. 2022 marks the first time that WarGames has featured on the main roster, despite being a NXT staple for a number of years.
