Matt Riddle could be set for a return to WWE television in the near future for the first time since December 5th.
On that particular episode of Monday Night Raw, Riddle was attacked by Solo Sikoa and left on a stretcher. As part of storyline WWE announced that the star would be out of action for six weeks. However, this was followed by reports that the story was a cover for a suspension after failing a drug test. It was alleged that this was actually the second time that the star had failed a test in a matter of months and would be heading to rehab.
Although this report was later disputed by someone close to Riddle, an adult film star who had been in a relationship with the former Raw Tag Team Champion claimed that he had indeed been in rehab. Jordan Maxx also claimed that Riddle had cheated on her and had been using drugs with another woman.
Matt Riddle Heading Back To WWE?
Matt Riddle is now being advertised to appear on the February 13th edition of Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center. It is important to note that the advertising is being done by the venue directly by the venue and not WWE. Riddle is currently being advertised for a number of shows by WWE, but this was likely put into action before he took a break from the company. Interestingly, the Barclays Center date isn’t one of those listed.
Following the controversy surrounding him online, Matt Riddle recently shared a statement on his current wellbeing. While the star didn’t address the claims that he had attended rehab, he said he couldn’t be happier.
“I’ve been working a lot on myself lately and have been saying no and setting boundaries for the first time ever and certain people aren’t happy about it, but I couldn’t be healthier or happier. Thank you for all the support.”
Matt Riddle signed with WWE in 2018 and enjoyed a stint in NXT before moving to the main roster. After finding success as a singles star, Riddle formed the popular RK-Bro tag team alongside Randy Orton. The Viper has been out of action since May 2022 with a back injury, meaning Riddle has been out on his own once more.
