Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks has opened up about his injury – and confirmed that he has been medically cleared to take part at Full Gear. Jackson also took the opportunity to call FTR ‘The Bore Horsemen’ before signing off ‘F The Revival’ at the end of the post.

“I appreciate everyone’s concern about my injury. However, I have indeed been medically cleared by my doctor to participate in Saturday’s match against The Bore Horsemen at Full Gear, live on PPV. Thank you for the support. -Matt F The Revival.”

News of the injury was reported by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matt Jackson was dealing with a legitimate injury. On the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that Jackson is suffering from a partially torn MCL and a thinning ACL.

However, these injuries are not new. According to the legendary journalist, the grievances occurred all the way back in July when The Young Bucks battled The Butcher and The Blade in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

In order to allow the promotion to keep Jackson on television, the injuries have been written into the current storyline between the Bucks and FTR, with the AEW World Tag Team Champions taking aim at the injured leg of the Jackson brother on October 21.

At time of writing, Matt Jackson is still scheduled and expected to compete at AEW Full Gear on Saturday November 7 in order to challenge FTR for AEW’s prestigious doubles gold.

However, if The Young Bucks fail to capture AEW’s prestigious doubles straps they will never be allowed to challenge for the belts again as per the stipulations of the bout.

It is currently unknown whether Matt Jackson will step away from the ring following Full Gear in order to have his grievances medically repair should the brothers fail to capture the titles.

Inside the Ropes will have live coverage of AEW Full Gear.
