Kenny Omega might have been out of action for nine months, but fans might not have to wait much longer to see the former World Champion back in action.
On the August 10th episode of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks attempted to make peace with Hangman Adam Page. The former AEW World Champion had come to help the pair the previous week when they were attacked by Adam Cole and reDRagon.
This led to the Bucks apologising to Page for how they acted and asking him to be their partner in the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament. However, despite accepting the apology, Page explained that his loyalty remains with the Dark Order and he’ll be in their corner, and not even competing himself.
The end result is that the Young Bucks need a partner, and they currently don’t have one. Unless they actually do.
On the latest edition of Being The Elite, Matt Jackson, dropped more than one hint that Kenny Omega could be about to return to action. In the episode, Jackson was wearing a Backstreet Boys t-shirt, a nod to a picture which shows the brothers and Omega at a Backstreet Boys show.
While at the end of the episode, he gets a phone call where he asks the caller, “Are you sure? Are you sure you’re ready?” This comment in particular has hinted heavily that the caller was Omega, although nothing is certain.

Kenny Omega hasn’t wrestled since AEW Full Gear in November when he was defeated by Hangman Adam Page, losing the AEW World Championship in the process. In the months since this defeat, Omega has undergone numerous surgeries to repair a litany of long-standing injury problems.
It has been recently reported that The Cleaner is expected back very soon.
