Matt Hardy thinks the future of pro-wrestling is in AEW’s hands as he waxes lyrical about the company, the future stars of AEW, and President Tony Khan.
Hardy debuted for All Elite Wrestling on the March 18th, 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite. Hardy was originally slated to join The Elite in a Blood and Guts match against Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle but this was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ultimately in place of Blood and Guts, Hardy joined The Elite for the unforgettable Stadium Stampede match at Double Or Nothing. The Elite came out victorious after Omega nailed the One Winged Angel on Sammy Guevara off the stand.
Matt Hardy was talking to ET Canada’s Shakiel Mahjouri about AEW, and also how Hardy feels being a part of the company.
“I want to thank you and everyone else that is tuned in to AEW Dynamite, it’s an amazing, just amazing group of people. And there are so many veterans that work with so many young talents. And Tony Khan does such a great job like steering the ship. I’m just so proud to be a part of AEW. And I feel like AEW really is the future of pro-wrestling.”
Hardy is one of those veterans helping the next generation of competitors succeed. He currently fronts The Hardy Family Office on AEW television, looking after Private Party and The Butcher, The Blade, and The Bunny. All for his famous ‘wee fee’ of course.
Matt Hardy also discussed his thoughts on once again being in a different company from his brother Jeff. The Hardy brothers have held tag team titles in WWE, TNA, and Ring of Honor.
