Matt Hardy has looked back on his recent return to WWE TV.
On the February 25th episode of NXT, Matt and Jeff Hardy made their return to the company as part of the ongoing talent exchange between WWE and TNA. After defeating Myles Borne and Tavion Heights, The Hardys were later confronted by NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom, setting up a future match between the two teams.
After appearing once again on NXT on the March 4th episode, The Hardys will put their TNA Tag Team Championships on the line against Fraxiom at the Roadblock special on March 11th. Judging by the fan reactions the past week, The Hardys have been missed by WWE fans.
Discussing the return on his Extreme Life podcast, Hardy stated that the experience has been a very positive one, noting how everyone in NXT has treated them like legends:
“It’s been incredible. I can’t really put it over enough. I mean, they’ve been so great to us. The way they have treated us as such legends and just like — they act so honored. ‘Thank you so much for doing this. Thank you for coming out and being a part of this.’”
Hardy also touched on the overwhelming fan reaction and how the whole experience has been enjoyable:
“It was great. I mean, we came out [on Tuesday night] and the crowd was so loud. And even right before we went out and Shawn [Michaels] came up. He said, ‘Hey, I know these people are going to be real hyped to see you and they’re going to be cheering and popping. But if you can, we’d like to keep the show on time. Just try and, you know, kind of get it going. You know, soak it in, but just kind of keep it going.’ That was great. But Shawn’s been incredible. Matt Bloom has been great. Everybody has. The whole experience has been so, so, so, so fun.”
