Matt Hardy has hinted that brother Jeff Hardy could be back in action soon adding that he’s excited about the future.
Jeff Hardy hasn’t wrestled since teaming with brother Matt at Double or Nothing back on May 29th. Following reports that the face-painted star was banged up following death-defying match opposite Darby Allin he was arrested on June 13th for driving under the influence with a suspended licence.
Hardy is said to have been over three times the legal limit and was “barely responsive” when pulled over and was promptly suspended without pay by AEW.
However, it appears that Jeff has been recovering well and could even be back in action soon. Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt hinted that his brother could return to the ring in the very near future.
“You know, I’m pretty excited. We’re getting close to the point where we, you know, meet the new Jeff and we figure out his future and what he ends up doing and I’m pretty excited because I feel like his mentality is like he knows he has to make changes and do what’s right. And I feel like he’s at a point where he will this time around, so I’m excited to have him back. And I think this would be amazing. It’d be so much fun.”
Hardy’s comments come as it was reported that Jeff is said to be leaving rehab soon and will be back in the ring.
