Matt Hardy has added three new names to his stable in All Elite Wrestling as he welcomed The Butcher, The Blade, and The Bunny to The Matt Hardy Empire.
On AEW Dynamite, Hardy was with his other signees Private Party discussing his loss to Hangman Page at AEW Revolution. Hardy noted that although he had lost his first-quarter earnings to Page, he had enough saved to acquire new talent.
Hardy would note that he was able to get his new charges a lucrative contract with AEW. So much so, that Hardy supposed they wouldn’t even notice his 30% “wee fee” coming off their paycheques.
“Going to destroy Dark Order”
The Butcher, The Blade, and The Bunny entered to be faced with a surprise Private Party. Matt Hardy announced that Butcher, Blade, and Private Party would be in action on AEW Dark: Elevation. He then added that he would join the four to try and take down The Dark Order.
The Dark Order has been at odds with Hardy during his feud with Hangman Page. The group has shown an affinity to Page in their efforts to recruit him to the group The animosity between Dark Order and Hardy has caused Matt to pay Jack Evans to interfere in Dark Order member 10’s matches. Evans would cost 10 a place in the ladder match at AEW Revolution by interfering in his qualifying match with ‘Platinum’ Max Caster.

Butcher, Blade, and Bunny had previously been aligned with Eddie Kingston. They were briefly seen trying to stop Kingston from entering the potentially exploding ring at AEW Revolution to protect Jon Moxley. Earlier in the night on Dynamite, Kingston appeared alongside Moxley to explain the controversial end of Revolution.
Matt Hardy, The Butcher, The Blade, and Private Party will team up on the St. Patrick’s Day Slam edition of AEW Dynamite. The five men will face Jurassic Express and Bear Country.
