AEW star Matt Hardy has broken silence on the recent arrest of his brother Jeff, who had been picked up by police for a DUI.

Former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was arrested in the early hours of June 13th. According to Volusia County jail records, Hardy was charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.

This latest arrest is the most recent in a string of DUIs for Hardy who was last arrested for the same offence back in October 2019.

The AEW star had been scheduled to compete on Wednesday’s Road Rager show in a three-way ladder match but he has since been pulled from advertising for the show. Reports have also said that AEW has contacted Warner Media to have Jeff Hardy removed from all AEW advertising for the time being.

Matt Hardy has now issued his first public comment on the situation saying he will do whatever he can to help his brother be healthy:

“It was disheartening to hear the news about my brother yesterday. Recovery isn’t a linear process & I’ll continue doing whatever I can to help my brother be healthy. Being healthy & well is the most important thing for Jeff, his wife, his children & our family at this time.”

Matt’s wife Reby Hardy had earlier issued her own take on the situation with a controversial post on Tik Tok.
