Matt Hardy And Jeff Hardy Returning To WWE

Matt Hardy And Jeff Hardy Returning To WWE

Tag team icons Matt and Jeff Hardy will be making their return to WWE TV on February 25th.

As seen on the February 18th edition of NXT, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne confronted Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom backstage. However, just as it seemed that No Quarter Catch Crew were set to call out Fraxiom for a title shot, the duo instead stated they were interested in facing the best tag team in the world, possibly of all time, The Hardys. NQCC then issued the challenge for a match against The Hardys for next week’s show.

Later in the night, Matt and Jeff appeared via video and accepted the challenge. Jeff stated that The Hardys were still innovating and influencing while Matt invited Fraxiom to sit ringside for their return, hinting at a possible match between the NXT and TNA Tag Team Champions at some point down the road.

Acknowledging the past accomplishments of The Hardys while hyping up their return, Triple H said the following about the upcoming match on social media:

Two men who have re-defined tag-team wrestling for over 25 years. The Hardy Boyz have reached the pinnacle of our industry (and often jumped off of it) to the amazement of fans worldwide…

…and they return to a @WWE ring NEXT WEEK on #WWENXT in Cincinnati.

The Hardys won’t be the only TNA stars to be in action on next week’s show as another champion made a shock appearance on NXT.

When Did Matt And Jeff Hardy Last Team Together On WWE TV?

The last time The Hardys had a televised match in the company was back in 2019, which saw the legendary tag team defeat The Usos on the April 9th SmackDown to become the new Tag Team Champions. Unfortunately, the titles had to be vacated 3 weeks later as Jeff suffered a knee injury that required surgery.

Also on NXT, the former Ricky Starks debuted his new name.
