Matt Hardy Addresses Current Status Following Recent Social Media Posts Promoting WWE

Matt Hardy has told the story behind a social media post that caught the attention of wrestling fans.

On April 15th, Hardy posted a clip of The New Day making their entrance from that night’s episode of Raw, which also featured the cryptic QR code flash-up onscreen. Much like Wyatt’s 2022 return, many are under the belief that this glitch is connected to the return of Bo Dallas and possibly the creation of a new faction. With Matt Hardy now confirmed as a free agent, having a history with Wyatt and known to have his more eccentric side with his broken persona, is this foreshadowing a WWE return?

Discussing his post on his Extreme Life podcast, the former AEW star stated that the post was designed to create buzz around himself and did just that. Hardy also stated that he is in talks with multiple promotions and is looking to create as much buzz as possible:

“Full disclosure, I am doing what I should be doing as a free agent, creating hype around myself. Yes, I have been speaking with AEW constantly, I have been speaking with WWE, I’ve been speaking with several people across several different platforms. So I think the next couple of weeks are going to be fun. The next few weeks are going to be fun. As I said before, I think we’re getting to the point where we’re going to be doing some pretty cool stuff coming up.

So yeah, I am doing what I should be doing. And my job as a brand, which I have to look at myself as a brand. A lot of my social media stuff as my Matt Hardy brand. My job as a brand is to promote myself and to create buzz around myself. And I feel like I do a pretty decent job with it whenever I am just able to kind of freelance and do whatever.”

In recent news, Matt Hardy spoke about his experiences with the WWE draft.

Matt Hardy Comments On WWE Raw Appearance

Along with promoting Raw on his social media page, the former Tag Team Champion was also spotted at a recent taping in North Carolina, further fuelling speculation that he might be considering a return to the promotion he left in 2020. Addressing the appearance and the value in himself and The Hardys, Matt Hardy explained why he is an asset to any wrestling company.

With the Hardys being a hot topic of discussion, one WWE Hall of Famer would love to see them back.
